Gateways of Soul

 A Wisdom Keepers Quest

 

‘Gateways of Soul’ is a five part journey through the rites of passage and blood-rites of Womanhood. Over five weekends we will deeply explore these rites of passage through the lens of soul work, coming into a deeper understanding and embodied awareness of the significance, potency and magic of these shamanic Doorways of Soul, so that we may be wisdom keepers of these gateways for our own journey and those within our family and community.

We live in a culture where initiation is not facilitated with awareness or support, creating a culture of unconscious self initiation. For women these initiations lie in the rites of passage surrounding the womb, from our own birth, to Menarche (the first blood and initiation from Maiden to Woman ), to Motherhood/birth and creatrix (regardless of whether you birth a physical child or not), to Menopause (stepping into eldership and the cessation of fertility), and Death – a return to the womb of the earth Mother.

Understanding the significance of these rites of passage is the foundation of sacred Women’s work. It is through these rites of passage that we remember and fully understand feminine wisdom and power, as it is this wisdom and power that has been suppressed and distorted throughout the ages. The guidance for our individual and collective healing is found within the depths of the wound. For women this healing lies within the reclamation of the sacredness of our bodies and the shamanic portal of our womb. It is found within the the places that we have been taught to hide, feel shame around and see as our weekness rather than our strength. Our healing lies within the reclamation of the sacredness of our menstrual blood, our responsibility as womb bearers and life bringers. Our healing lies within our pleasure and our bliss, our sexuality and our connection to our body temple. Our healing lies in the reclamation birth, menopause and death and the wisdom that comes from the meeting of ourselves consciously in these deep internal landscapes of soul.

Each weekend we will immerse ourselves deeply in the wisdom of one of these rites of passage, through the use of modalities such as Breathwork, shamanic drum journeying, process work, dance, bio-energetics, ritual and ceremony. We will journey together as sisters, all women, the same group throughout the whole journey, deepening our connection, learning from each others stories and reflecting within each other our wounding and our light.

Throughout this journey you will be deeply held and supported by myself (Anki) and my two Soul sisters Sara Bear and Ayla Myra. Both these Women live and breath this work and way of life deeply and have studied extensively in these fields, offering a loving presence, wisdom and knowledge and nurturing support.

 Gathering One ~ Birth

During this gathering we will explore our own birth story, bringing to light and understanding our limbic and creative imprint. Through this exploration we will have a deeper knowing of ourselves, reclaiming a deeper sense of sovereignty and trust in our life path and journey.

Through meditation, Breathwork, Shamanic drum Journeying and process work you will come to know yourself more intimately, understanding your emotional blue print, your creative patterning and unconscious belief systems about yourself, imprinted from birth, so that you can bring deeper consciousness and awareness to how you walk through life, holding the wisdom of your birth as a light that guides you.

Gathering Two ~ Menarche

During this gathering you will explore the experience of your own menarche and how the events surrounding this rite of passage have influenced your relationship with your body, your sexuality, your relationships with others and your belief systems about being a woman.

Throughout this weekend you will reclaim your menarche by understating your responsibility of being a womb bearer. You will come to understand the maiden as an archetype through story and myth and be supported through a menarche ceremony, pledging your responsibility and intention as a womb bearer, to walk forward as the woman you wish to be and have the wisdom to support others in your community through this sacred gateway.

Gathering Three ~ Mother

During this gathering we will explore the archetype of the Mother, through the lens of myth and story, revealing the wisdom of the ’embodied woman’ that holds space and is in service to something bigger than herself and listens to her souls calling. We will unpack the current cultural wounding of the feminine and reclaim our own power, wisdom and knowing for a more purposeful and meaningful life.

During this gathering we will also learn what it means to be a wisdom keeper for birth and how we can move towards a more Mother centric culture.

Whether you are a mother or not, the archetype ‘Mother’ represents the aspect of your inner being that has matured beyond the maiden and is able to Mother yourself through challenges and hardships, holding the light and wisdom of your inner truth and knowing and is willing and ready to walk in the world as a woman in her authentic power.

2024:

16-18th February: Gathering Four ~ Menopause: The Wise Woman

During this gathering we will learn about the archetype of the wise woman, a true elder and how we can harness and call on this archetypal power for our own healing and growth. We will unpack cultural belief systems and wounding around ageing and eldership and step into a more aligned path of maturing and growth.

Menopause is an epic rite of passage, a birth of the self that takes courage and preparation if it is to be walked with consciousness. During this gathering we will learn the intimate details and journey of menopause, so that we can prepare ourselves ( no matter what age we are) to walk towards eldership with a deeper reverence and understanding of this part of our life.

 Gathering Five ~ Death

During this extra long four day gathering we will explore the mystery of death. We will confront our own fears, belief systems and imprints around death and spend time in silence contemplating our own death, so that we can be more fully present to our life and walk consciously towards the portal of death.

During this gathering we will do a mini vision quest, spending a night alone in silence in a special and protected space in nature. This gathering is a gateway through the darkness into the light, the birthing of your new self, more deeply aligned with your hearts vision and soul purpose. This gathering is the final gathering of this journey  ‘Gateways of Soul’, and will prepare you for your life ahead through more deeply embodied feminine wisdom and to walk as a Wisdom keeper of feminine wisdom and blood rites.
